Docusign runs its own hosted MCP server, with separate production and demo endpoints. The agent works within the user's existing permissions and can both read agreement data and send envelopes for signature.

What an agent can do

  • → Check recipient status
  • → Search agreements, clauses and metadata
  • → Select templates
  • → Trigger Workflow Builder flows

The server can send documents for signature, so write tools should require human approval.
