Notion runs its own hosted MCP server that agents connect to through OAuth. The agent can search, read and write in the workspace with the same permissions as the user.

What an agent can do

→ Search Notion and connected sources
→ Read pages and databases
→ Create and update pages
→ Create new databases
→ Upload files up to 20 MiB

The hosted server requires interactive OAuth sign-in and can write to the workspace by default, so write access should be reviewed.
