Xero MCP server

Xero maintains its own open-source MCP server that runs locally and covers contacts, invoices, payments, reports and payroll. A hosted Xero connector in Claude's directory is also available and is read-only at launch.

What an agent can do

  • → Read profit and loss, balance sheet
  • → List and create invoices
  • → Manage contacts and chart of accounts
  • → Record payments and bank transactions
  • → Read payroll and timesheet data

The local server can write to the books and needs a Xero app with a custom connection per organisation.
