Datadog MCP server

Datadog's own MCP server gives an agent access to logs, metrics, traces, monitors and incidents. It is hosted per Datadog site and uses the user's own permissions, with separate rights for reading and writing.

What an agent can do

  • → Search logs and traces
  • → Fetch metrics and dashboards
  • → Read and manage monitors
  • → Follow incidents and security signals
  • → Enable toolsets such as APM and LLM Observability

Users need the mcp_read or mcp_write permission, and the service has a fair-use limit of 100,000 tool calls per month.
