GitHub MCP server
officialGitHub's own MCP server gives an agent access to repositories, issues, pull requests and Actions. It runs as a hosted service or a local Docker image, and can be locked to read-only or to selected toolsets.
What an agent can do
- → Read code and files in repositories
- → Create and comment on issues
- → Review and open pull requests
- → Follow Actions runs and failures
- → Read code security alerts
Write tools are on by default, so enable read-only mode or limit toolsets for teams that only need to read.

Missing a connection?
We build and review MCP servers for teams that need them, and run them behind the same policy and log as the rest of the gateway.
