Linear MCP server

Linear runs its own hosted MCP server for issues, projects and comments. A separate read-only endpoint is available for teams that only want to grant read access.

What an agent can do

  • → Create and update issues
  • → Comment on issues
  • → Summarise cycles and standups
  • → Plan roadmaps and timelines

The default endpoint grants read and write access, so use https://mcp.linear.app/mcp/readonly when the agent should only read.
